Phacelia campanularia is a species of flowering plant in the borage family. Its true native range is within the borders of California. The bright blue flowers will bring spring colour to any garden along with providing nectar for wildlife in the bell shaped flowers. The annual plant is covered in glandular hairs. The leaf blades are somewhat rounded with toothed edges. Flowers start with pink buds that open to blue then fade to lilac. The flower has a bright blue corolla up to 4 centimetres long which can be bell-shaped, funnel-shaped, or round and flattened. It can have white spots in the throat. The stamens stick out beyond the flower, resembling the clapper of a bell. Phacelias grow best in full sun in dryish, sandy soil.
