Gerbera Jamesonii is a perennial flowering plant that flowers in a variety of colours including red, yellow, pink and orange. Barberton daisy is easy to grow, and when it blooms from spring to fall the colours will brighten up your garden. Gerbera Daisy is one of the most popular garden plant and is mostly seen in florist shops. Gerbera Jamesonii has lobed shaped hairy leaves that is attached to a long stem. The flowers have bright coloured petals with a darker disc shaped centre. Barberton daisy is also known as Rooigousblom in Africans as it is common in Africa. The Transvaal Daisy can grow to 14 inches in height and thrives for well drained soil and full sun for the best results.
