Coreopsis is one of the easiest to grow from flower seeds. Used primarily for landscape beautification, it brightens up any setting. The Coreopsis flower is bi-colour red and bright yellow. It is great for cutting, and each stem adds a whole flush of small flowers to arrangements. Butterflies love the nectar of Coreopsis blooms. Directly sow Plains Coreopsis seeds outdoors in spring into a prepared seed bed. Soil should be loosened and weed free. Press the flower seeds into the soil and lightly cover. Keep the seed moist until germination. Plains Coreopsis is perhaps the very best native annual for re-seeding.
