Plant Cleome Spider Flowers in full sun and in fertile well-drained soil. Cleome plants are very heat and sun tolerant. Even though it is an annual flowering plant, it is also a liberal self-sower, dropping its own flower seeds. Due to this fact, it should reappear the following spring.
