Gherkin variety is a very reliable, early and productive cucumber, making lots of fruit. It used to be grown as a pickling cucumber (picked small as 'cornichons'). Dense, crisp flesh and characteristic bumpy skin are most pronounced when young and help maintain crispness in pickling. This variety is resistant to downy mildew and angular leaf spot.
Dill is a great short-lived annual herb that has ferny foliage which is highly attractive and most delicate. It will grow to approximate 34 inches tall.

Both Dill and cucumber thrives full sunlight and well-drained soil. Cucumbers also prefer a humid moist place.
