Iceberg lettuce is crunchy, compact and neutral in flavour, making it perfect for children who avoid vegetables. Thank to iceberg lettuce being compact and only reaching 8 inches (20cm) in diameter it is perfect for small gardens. Iceberg lettuce is one of the least nutritious lettuces available but still contains large amounts of vitamins A, K, C and many others it is also high in minerals. Average germination time for Iceberg lettuce seeds is 7-14 days. Best to sow iceberg lettuce in full sun but it will tolerate partial shade.
