Leek Tango develops thick pseudostems and withstands frost up to -10°C (14°F). High productivity of the long green leaves are another advantage of this variety. Its broad white pseudostems will grow up to 30cm long, can be harvested end of summer or the beginning of autumn. Tango leek supplies great freezing material, while fresh it can substitute onion or chives in a salad, soups and egg spread. Leek leaves filled with vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, B9, C, E, K),  Tango leeks may be harvested from mid-September to mid-November, even after the first autumn frosts.
