Radish 'Malaga' produces round roots with a very unusual color deep purple, so pretty in contrast with the snow-white flesh! Radish Malaga have a milder taste from most radishes and give off a light peppery taste. They are ideal for salads and on sandwiches. Raphanus sativus stays firm and crisp over a long season. Radish is also a fantastic source of vitamin C and vitamin B2 on top of that they have an impressive amount of calcium, potassium and manganese Malaga radish seeds are very fast germinators as only taking between 4-7 days. Best of all they are very quick to mature as can be harvested just 4-6 weeks after germination. Malaga radish loves the sun and thrives in a full sun position and will tolerate almost all soil types. Radish can be harvested during six months of the year and is easy to care for.

Sow Radish seeds directly from March to September at 1/2in (1cm) deep in a good seed compost. Sow seeds from February to April 1/8in (4mm) deep in a good seed compost. When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings individually into 3in (7cm) pots.
