Aubergine 'Halflange violette' - an excellent quality variety producing plants that give high yields of 8 inches (20cm) glossy, dark purple fruit. Traditional aubergine for a sunny spot in open ground or in the greenhouse. Fantastic and exceptional mild flavour. Aubergine is best served fried or fried in batter.  Halflange violette has a deep glossy purple skin and a smooth yet firm flesh. Aubergines also have huge health benefits due to containing lots of fiber, potassium and magnesium, great source of vitamins B1 and B6. Aubergine prefers hot climate and a full sun position, during germination seeds should be kept at 23-25C (73-77F).

Sow seeds on the surface of a free draining, moist seed compost and cover with 1/4 inch (0.2cm) layer of vermiculite or compost. When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings individually into 3in (7cm) pots.
