Marina di Chioggia can average 10-12 pounds (4-5kg) in weight varying in different sizes. Cucrbita pepo skin can vary from dark green to blue/grey which is covered in small bumps that are known as sugar warts. These warts are formed by a build-up of sugar within the skin. Squash Marina di Chioggia is easy to grow from seed as when mature it has a sweet and nut taste. Inside is a bright yellow colour flesh which can be used in many dishes. Marina di Chioggia seeds grows best in well-drained soil and access to sunlight. Marina di Chioggia seeds germinate on average within 10-14 days at 20-25C (68-78F). This large squash should be grown in a full sun position to grow at its full potential and its full speed.
