Rainbow Swiss Chard is quite striking with dark green leaves and bright red, orange, yellow and pink stems. It is a hardy plant and related to the beet. They thrives in soil that has had organic matter added. It is recommended to add a couple of inches of compost to the soil a few weeks before planting the Swiss Chard seeds.
