Violeta kohlrabi has a round like stems covered with a purple peel and a pure white inside. Violeta kohlrabi is tender and fantastic sweet tasting with many minerals like iron and calcium, it is also a wonderful source of vitamin C. Kohlrabi is recommended for direct consumption but can be cooked or steamed. Kohlrabi is a great addition to soups and sauces giving them a original taste. Brassica oleracea growing time from sowing to harvest is 110 - 125 days. After that time the stems can reach 500g - 700g. It can be cultivated all year outdoors.
